Seen here is the assembled Missile Upper Body, which is comprised of the Nose (Warhead) Unit and the Aft Unit.

The Aft Unit is made up of the Instrument (Guidance) Compartment and the Skirt Section.

At the completion of powered boost phase, the Upper Body separates from the thrust Unit, and is guided to the target in a ballistic trajectory.
